Delhi Assembly passes Salary, Allowances and Pension Amendment Bills 2022

New Delhi: Delhi Assembly has passed the Salary, Allowances, and Pension Amendment Bills 2022 on the first day of its two-day Special Session.

The bill intends to increase the salaries and allowances of Ministers, members of a legislative assembly, Chief Whip, Speaker and Deputy Speaker,



and leader of opposition from 54 thousand rupees to around 90 thousand rupees. Pension of the members will also be increased with this move. 

After passing, the bill will be sent to the President of India for approval.
