A Delhi court yesterday allowed Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, who is accused in the death case of his wife Sunanda Pushkar, to travel abroad. Special Judge Ajay Kumar Kuhar granted permission to Tharoor to visit Dubai from 14th to 18th of November. Judge Kuhar directed him to furnish a fixed deposit of 2 lakh rupees which will be
returned after he returns back to India.
Delhi Police opposed the application, saying that Tharoor may settle abroad to evade trial if granted permission and the relief at this early stage of proceedings may hamper the course of the trial.
