A Delhi court yesterday issued summons to former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad, his son and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav, and others in the land-for-jobs money laundering case.
Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court has also summoned Tej Pratap Yadav in this case. He is the elder son of Lalu Prasad. Special Judge Vishal Gogne directed the accused to appear before the court on 7th October.
The judge passed the order after
taking cognisance of a supplementary charge sheet against the accused. The final report was filed before the court by the ED on 6th August.
According to ED, this case is related to Group-D appointments made in the West Central Zone of the railways during Lalu Prasad’s tenure as the railway minister from 2004 to 2009 in return for land parcels gifted or transferred by the recruits in the name of the RJD Chief’s family or associates.
