Delhi: All private hospitals and nursing homes in Delhi having 50 beds and above have been directed to reserve at least 40 per cent of their total bed capacity for COVID-19 patients. The decision came in the wake of rising cases of Covid-19 in the National Capital.
Directorate General of Health Services in an
order today said, it has been observed that transmissibility of Omicron variant of Covid-19 is very high and the number of Omicron positive cases in the community is rising exponentially. It further said, there has been an upsurge in the cases in the city and in the last four days, the positivity rate has risen from 2.44 per cent to 8 per cent.
