The Air Quality in the National Capital was in the severe category yesterday. Air Quality Index was recorded at 426 at 4 pm on Wednesday.
Delhi government will ban entry of Non-Delhi registered commercial cabs booked through Ola, Uber, and other taxi aggregator apps into the national capital. Briefing media, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that only cabs registered in Delhi will be allowed to ply in the national capital. He said, a detailed order will be issued on implementation of the decision.
Mr. Rai said, Delhi government will
implement the odd-even car rationing scheme after the Supreme Court reviews its effectiveness. He said, Delhi government will submit two major studies conducted to ascertain the effectiveness of the scheme for the perusal of the Supreme Court.
Mr Rai also held a meeting with the IIT Kanpur team exploring the opportunity of cloud seeding to cause artificial rain. In view of air pollution in the national capital, the December winter break of all schools has been rescheduled and now it will be from 9th to 18th of this month.
