Delhi HC refuses interim plea of Dinakaran for 'hat' symbol

New Delhi : The Delhi High Court on Monday dismissed the interim plea of sidelined All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) T T V Dinakaran to get 'hat' symbol allotted for R K Nagar bypolls.

The High Court has left the decision in the hands of Returning Officer of the Election Commission



(EC) to allot the symbol to Dinakaran as an independent candidate for the bypolls.

The court will hear the main plea filed by jailed AIADMK leader V K Sasikala and Dinakran challenging the Election Commission's decision to grant two leaves symbol to EPS faction of the party on February 12.
