Delhi Hospitals Gear Up for Diwali

Major hospitals in the National Capital Delhi have made several arrangements to attend to injured patients during Diwali. At Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, an emergency ward has been prepared for the treatment of fire accident patients. Meanwhile, special preparations have been made at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Safdarjung Hospital to provide timely treatment to patients. Special teams of doctors have also been deployed in these hospitals.

Department at RML Hospital, said that 10 to 15 beds have been kept vacant in the hospital to provide immediate treatment for fire accident patients.

Furthermore, Dr. Manish Singhal, Chairman of the Burn Department at AIIMS New Delhi, has appealed to the public to be cautious while using firecrackers. He advised that in case of burns, immediately bring the burnt areas of the body in contact with running water or place a wet cloth on the affected part and consult a doctor.
