Delhi LG VK Saxena orders measures to tackle illegal parking, improve traffic management

Emphasizing the importance of road safety, Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena expressed concern over illegal parking on roadsides, flyovers, and other areas, particularly by buses, which causes inconvenience to commuters and compromises road safety.

Addressing these issues, he has issued several



directives aimed at improving traffic management and ensuring smoother commutes.

To combat these challenges, joint enforcement teams comprising Traffic Police and the Transport Department will be established to monitor and prevent the overloading of commercial vehicles and overcrowding of passenger buses.
