DMRC Chief Shri Vikas Kumar said that about 40 percent work on the Phase-IV project of the Delhi Metro has been completed, and the first section of a priority corridor shall be operational by July 2024. In an interview to PTI, the DMRC chief said that the first section, about 2.5-3 km in length, Janakpuri West to Krishna Park (Extension) is planned to be opened by July 2024. The next in line, Majlis



Park-Maujpur stretch, is expected to be operational by March 2025.

The Delhi Metro Phase-IV project had begun in December 2019 and was originally expected to be completed by December 2024. However, due to the delay caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, fresh targets had to be set. "I don't see any major cost overrun, due to the pandemic.
