Delhi Metro Pink Line to open today

The over 20-km-long stretch of Delhi Metro's Pink Line, connecting the north and south campuses of the Delhi University, will be thrown open to the public from today. With the opening of the 21.56 km-long section, the Delhi Metro's operational network will expand to nearly 252 km, a senior DMRC official said.

The 12-station section of Majlis Park-Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus is slated to be formally flagged off by Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today at 4:00 pm from the Metro Bhawan.

services on the stretch will begin from 6 pm onwards from both Majlis Park and Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus stations simultaneously.

From Vishwavidyalaya metro station on yellow line to Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus station on the pink line, it will take around 40 minutes, including time for interchange. 

Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus metro station is located right next to Sri Venkateswara College. The Pink Line has three interchange stations, Azadpur with Yellow Line, Netaji Subhash Place, with Red Line and Rajouri Garden with Blue Line.
