Delhi Metro's Lajpat Nagar-Mayur Vihar Pocket 1 corridor opens today

The Lajpat Nagar-Mayur Vihar Pocket -1 corridor on pink line of Delhi Metro will be thrown open for public today.

Around ten kilometer stretch is the extension of  59 kilometer long Majlis Park - Shiv Vihar corridor and it will be a major boon for the commuters of prominent areas like Ashram and Mayur Vihar.

The section has five stations namely  Vinoba Puri, Ashram, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Mayur Vihar -I and Mayur Vihar Pocket-1.

this stretch will connect the Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway station as well as the Inter State Bus Terminal at Sarai Kale Khan.

With the opening of this section, the Delhi Metro network will become 327 kilometres long with 236 Metro stations.

After the inauguration of this section, Delhi Metro will have opened over 90 kilometres of new lines this year. All the major corridors under Delhi Metro’s Phase 3 within the city of Delhi have now been opened.
