New Delhi: Delhi Police has arrested 21 people so far in connection with stone-pelting and arson in Jahangirpuri area that left eight police personnel and a local injured. They include two main accused - Ansar and Aslam. Two juveniles have also been apprehended. Two main accused - Ansar and Aslam have been remanded to police custody. Aslam had fired a bullet that hit a Delhi Police sub-inspector.
The pistol used by him has been recovered from his possession. A third prime accused Salim alias Chikna was arrested last night. He has been found to be previously involved in a robbery and attempt to murder case in Jahangirpuri.

(Northwest) Usha Rangnani said, three firearms and five swords have been seized from the possession of accused persons.
Special Commissioner of Crime Branch of Delhi Police, Ravindra Yadav said the District Police and Crime Branch are jointly investigating the case.
Meanwhile, National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) sought the registration of an FIR against those using children for stone pelting the violence in Jahangirpuri.
Clashes erupted between two communities on Saturday when a Hanuman Jayanti procession was passing through Jahangirpuri area.
