Delhi Police beef up security of Israeli Embassy amid ongoing conflict

The Delhi Police has increased the security of the Israeli Embassy and the official residence of Israel's Ambassador to India in New Delhi, sources informed India Today.

The enhanced security measures of the Delhi Police came amid an ongoing war between Israel and the terrorist organisation Hamas.

Additional police vehicles have been deployed outside the Israeli Embassy and the official



residence of the Israeli Ambassador to India, Naor Gilon.

In addition, security has also been beefed up near Chabad House, a religious place of Jews in the Paharganj area of New Delhi.

Notably, the Israeli Embassy has been on the target of extremist elements. In 2021, an Improved Explosive Device (IED) was detonated near the Israeli Embassy. However, no injuries were reported after the blast.
