New Delhi: Delhi Police has issued a special traffic advisory in view of the ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh-Amrit Kalash Yatra’ which will be organised at Vijay Chowk today and tomorrow.
As per the advisory, the following roads have been advised to be avoided unless in cases of urgent need: Round About Shanti Path & Kautilya Marg, Round About Patel Chowk, Bhinder Point Junction, Round About Gol Dak Khana, Aurbindo Chowk, Round About Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Round About Gurudwara Rakabganj, Round About Motilal Nehru Place, Round About Mandi House, Round About Firoz Shah & Ashoka Road, Round About Raja Ji Marg, Round About Firoz Shah Road & KG Marg, Round About Janpath, Mahadev Road, Round About Rajender Prasad Road & Janpath and Round About Patel Chowk.
In view of the mega two-day event in the capital city, IGI Stadium Bus
Parking, Kisan Ghat Bus Parking and Ramleela Ground Buses Parking have been designated as the parking spots for buses.
Commuters who will be travelling to Vayu Bhavan, Sena Bhavan, Vigyan Bhavan, Nirman Bhavan, Parliament House, South Block, North Block, Central Secretariat, Rashtrapati Bhavan, India Gate, etc have been advised to take sufficient time at hand before embarking, in order to avoid delays on the route.
People are advised to use public transport vehicles instead of their own vehicles to decongest the roads. People have been advised to avoid roadside Parking as it causes hindrance in normal flow of traffic. Delhi Police also said that Yellow line and Violet line of Delhi Metro is expected to witness heavy footfall and People should plan their travel accordingly.
