Delhi services bill passed in Rajya Sabha

In a big setback for AAP, the Rajya Sabha today passed the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023. The bill got the support of 131 MPs while 102 members opposed it.

The



bill will replace the existing central government's ordinance on the transfer and posting of officers. The ordinance was brought in just days after the Supreme Court gave executive powers to the Delhi government in service matters.
