Delhi-NCR's air quality on Friday remained in 'very poor' category as various parts of the capital witnessed a smoggy morning. The air quality index (AQI) of Delhi today stood at 357 (average of last 24 hours), according to the Central Pollution Control Bureau (CPCB). The air quality slipped to 'very poor' category due to heavy smog enveloping the city due to stubble burning, calm winds and cool
weather conditions.
By the evening, AQI of Delhi NCR had further deteriorated. Out of the 51 stations whose data is available, ten stations are in the 'severe' category, while 38 are in the 'very poor' category. The remaining three are in the 'poor' category. Even the neighbouring cities of Noida (371), Gurugram (333) and Ghaziabad (384) also reported "very poor air quality".
