The air quality in the national capital Delhi has shown slight improvement but was registered in the poor category with an average Air Quality Index (AQI) of 274 as of 7 AM this morning. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, some areas of the city have breached the 300 AQI levels. The AQI at Delhi’s Nehru Nagar station was recorded at 336, Shadipur at 319,
Jahangirpuri at 310, Dwarka Sector 8 at 308, Anand Vihar at 304, Mundka at 303, Vivek Vihar at 291 and Sirifort at 288.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that Delhi and the surrounding NCR are likely to experience smog and shallow fog during the night and morning hours over the next two days.
