Delhi’s Peak Power Demand Reaches All-Time High Amid Intense Summer Heat

National Capital Delhi’s peak power demand yesterday reached an all-time high amid the intense summer heat. State Load Dispatch Centre in Delhi said, that in the afternoon the peak demand of the city reached Seven thousand 717 Mega Watt breaking all previous records. Previously, an all-time high peak power demand was



recorded at Seven thousand 695 Mega Watt in June, 2022.

Delhi is reeling under intense heat with a steady rise in temperature. The India Meteorological Department IMD has issued a red alert for a severe heatwave over the next four days.
