Demonetisation destroyed black money: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that demonetization has destroyed black-money, terror funding and human trafficking in one stroke. Targeting parties who are opposing the note ban, he said some people are upset as the government's decision has struck the ring leader of thieves. The Prime Minister was addressing a Parivartan rally in Dehradun after laying the foundation stone of all weather road to Chardham today.

Mr. Modi said, he is fulfilling his duties of a watchman to get rid of black money



and dark hearts which have ruined the country. The Prime Minister said, the demonetization is a step towards empowering the country's honest people. He said, the 900 km Chardham Highway Project will drive Uttarakhand to new peak of development and ensure uninterrupted all weather safe journey for pilgrims to the Himalayan shrines of Badrinath, Gangotri, Yamunotri and Kedarnath. He said, the project will also create huge job opportunities for the youth so that they are not forced to leave their state.
