The cold wave situation has intensified in North India. The national capital woke up to a dense layer of fog this morning. IMD has forecast dense to very dense fog at a few places over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, north Madhya Pradesh and at isolated places over Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan during next two days. Fog is also likely at isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand. It has also forecast light to moderate rainfall at isolated places over Kerala, Tamil Nadu,
Puducherry, and Lakshadweep during next four days.
The temperature in Delhi was recorded at 9.4 degrees Celsius earlier today. The India Meteorological Department has forecast mainly clear sky for the rest of the day. The overall Air Quality of Delhi NCR continues to be in the very poor category. According to Central Pollution Control Board, the city's Air Quality Index was recorded 372 at 7 this morning.
