Dense fog engulfed several parts of Delhi-NCR region this morning. The national capital experienced a thick blanket of fog which disrupted air, road and rail services. Visibility was reportedly zero to 100 meters at different places. At least 81 Delhi-bound trains are running behind schedule due to the fog. 16 trains were rescheduled and 3 trains canceled. According to the Delhi airport, more than 40 domestic and international flights were delayed or diverted at the Indira Gandhi International Airport while around 6 flights were canceled.

weather and biting cold have disrupted normal life in most parts of the state since last three days. Several trains including Sealdah Delhi Sampark Kranti Express, which passes through UP, were cancelled while over two dozen trains were either running late or very late. Road transportation has also been affected in most parts of the state especially in the morning and evening hours.
The MET department has forecast dense to very dense fog at few places over Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and dense fog at isolated places over South Assam, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura
