In Gujarat, the depression emanated from cyclone Vayu is moving east-northeastwards. According to Met Department, the depression weakened into a Well Marked Low pressure area over northeast Arabian Sea and adjoining Saurashtra & Kutch.
It is very likely to move further east-northeastwards and weaken into a Low Pressure Area during next 12 hours.
"In Gujarat, Kutch and other areas in Saurashtra are getting moderate rain showers since early morning due to depression condition centred in the bay of Kutch.
Disaster response teams are ready to face any eventuality. Adjoining districts like Morbi and Surendranagar are also getting light showers since early morning.
Public including fishermen are advised to be away from sea looking to high tide. North Gujarat is also put on high for heavy rainfall as depression is likely to pass upto Rajasthan via Patan, Banaskantha and Sabarkantha districts. In Kutch, all the ports have flagged signal number three showing danger sign for seafarers and ships.
