Dharmendra Pradhan Says Large number of policy reforms undertaken in last 6 years in mining sector

Steel & Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that mining is one of the key sectors where a large number of policy reforms have been undertaken in the last six years.

 

Speaking at the National Mining Summit today, the Minister said, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has envisioned that all natural resources should be properly assessed and their monetization must be done through the transparent bidding process. He said, the



international investors will invest only if they will see certainty and profitability in the venture.

 

Mr. Pradhan said, holistic view of the sector is required as the country has to fulfill its own domestic requirements as well as work towards becoming a global manufacturing hub. He called for greater infusion of technology, digitization, new business models, greater efficiency in all activities from inventory management to raw material procurement.
