Disability pension: Defence Ministry refers matter to Anomaly Committee of 7th CPC

Defence Ministry has referred the issue of Disability Pension for Defence Forces Personnel to Anomaly Committee of 7th Pay Commission for consideration. Recently, the government has accepted the recommendation of Pay Commission to revert to a slab based system for determining the disability pension for Defence



Personnel.

According to the Ministry, Service Headquarters had represented for the continuation of the percentage based system at par with Civilian personnel for calculating the disability pension. Percentage based system was followed in the 6th Pay Commission regime for calculating disability pension for Defence Personnel as well as Civilians.
