DMDK to contest alone in TN assembly polls

Fri 11 Mar 2016, 10:19:26
In Tamil Nadu, the DMDK party has decided to contest the forthcoming Assembly General Election alone, without any alliance. Putting to rest speculations over alliance, the DMDK Chief Vijayakanth in Chennai announced last night that in all 234 Assembly constituencies, candidates will be

fielded.
However, Vijayakanth's wife and the party office bearer Premalatha in her address said those parties that share the aim of the DMDK to form a corruption-free government are welcomed to talk to the party chief. The DMDK faced the last Assembly elections in 2011 in the company of the AIADMK and won 29 seats.
