DMK MP Kanimozhi arrested for holding demonstrations against Hathras incident

Chennai: The DMK Lok Sabha member MK Kanimozhi was arrested by the Chennai police for holding demonstrations against the Hathras incident without police permission.

Hundreds of women cadres of the party took out a candle light procession from Little Mount in the city



towards the Raj Bhavan. The procession was flagged off by the party president MK Stalin.

They were arrested on charges of breaching the restrictions imposed in view of the prevailing pandemic. Later, they were released by the police.
