Senior doctors of North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC)-run hospitals went on an en-masse casual leave on Monday protesting pending salaries of medics at the city’s civic-run facilities.

R Gautam, leader of the Municipal Corporation Doctors' Association (MCDA) stated, "If our requests are not met, we will go on uncertain strike from tomorrow." 

As per the MCDA,



NDMC clinic staff haven't got their pay rates for as long as a quarter of a year.

Recently, MCDA had also issued a statement expressing solidarity with their protesting colleagues at Hindu Rao Hospital and Kasturba Hospital. Both these hospitals also fall under the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC). Resident doctors at these two hospitals have also been protesting pending salaries.
