Dr.Guguloth Papalal, Batlhula Murali elects Mayor, Dy.Mayor of Khammam

Dr Guguloth Papalal, has been elected  the first Mayor of Khammam Municipal Corporation (KMC) unopposed and  Bathula Murali as the Deputy Mayor. 

Later, the 16th Division corporator Kamaratapu Murali proposed Dr Papalal, who got elected from 2nd Division for the Mayor post and it was seconded by 17th Division corporator Punukulla Neeraja.  While 26th Division



member Pagadala Nagaraju proposed Bathula Murali of 24th Division for the Deputy Mayor post, it was seconded by 23rd Division corporator Potla Sasikala.  

With no other in the 50-Division KMC body was ready to contest, the Collector announced that Dr Papalal and Bathula Murali were elected as the Mayor and Deputy Mayor unopposed. Later, Papalal and Murali assumed office.
