The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) Mumbai unit arrested a female passenger and seized 1,983 grams of a viscous liquid substance concealed in lotion bottles in Mumbai yesterday. The passenger was traveling from Nairobi to Mumbai.
DRI Mumbai intercepted the passenger upon her arrival and, upon examining her baggage,
discovered the viscous liquid substance in two lotion bottles. The substance tested positive for cocaine, a narcotic drug covered under the NDPS Act, 1985. Officials estimated the approximate value of the seized liquid substance to be around 20 crore rupees. The passenger has been remanded to judicial custody.
