Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has said that each and every citizen must do his bit to protect our environment against climate change.
He was speaking after launching the e-pledge initiative on the website majhivasundhara.in, as envisaged by the State’s environment department. He said the Majhi Vasundhara initiative must be adopted by citizens as a public movement to save the environment.

Minister Aditya Thackeray and many other officials joined the event through video conferencing also took the e-pledge.
Maharashtra Minister for Tourism and Environment Aditya Thackeray had launched the Majhi Vasundhara initiative on 2nd of October last year. He said that the Majhi Vasundhara or My Earth initiative focuses on five elements of nature, adding that the aim is to connect with every citizen at an individual level and sensitise them about the dangers posed by climate change.
