External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar spoke to his Ukrainian counterpart on Friday afternoon and discussed issues of mutual interest. Briefing media in New Delhi on Friday afternoon, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said India has several engagements with Ukraine, including bilateral and institutional mechanisms.

Replying to another query, Mr Jaiswal said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had gone to Russia to attend the annual summit between India and Russia



recently. He said that during the occasion, Prime Minister made his thoughts clear on violence and innocent people being impacted in violence.

Replying to a query on the situation in Myanmar, the spokesperson said there is an ongoing crisis in the country, and India wants peaceful solution of the ongoing crisis based on a constructive dialogue among all the stakeholders. He said India supports restoration of democracy in Myanmar.
