External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar yesterday met visiting Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yury Trutnev in New Delhi and discussed ways to strengthen ties between the two nations. 

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said both leaders discussed various aspects of India-Russia relationship including the visit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Vladivostok for the



Eastern Economic Forum in September this year.
 
Mr Jaishankar's meeting with Mr Trutnev comes days after Prime Minister Modi met Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, SCO Summit in Bishkek, where the two leaders reviewed all aspects of bilateral relations to further strengthen the strategic relationship.
