External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar will be on a four-day visit to Portugal and Italy from Tuesday. In the first leg of his visit, Dr. Jaishankar will visit Portugal from 31st October to 1st November. In a statement, the External Affairs Ministry said, during the visit to Portugal, he will hold discussions with his counterpart Foreign Minister Joao Gomes Cravinho on entire range of bilateral relations, and on regional and multilateral issues of mutual interest.
In
the second leg of his visit, Dr. Jaishankar will visit Italy on the 2nd and 3rd of November. During his visit, he will meet his counterpart Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani. He is also expected to meet the top leadership of the country.
Dr. Jaishankar will also address the Joint Session of the Senate’s External Affairs and Defence Commission, and EU Affairs Commission, and the India-Italy Parliamentary Friendship Group.
