A magnitude 4.2 earthquake hit Gujarat at around 10.15 pm on Friday. The earthquake tremors were felt in major cities, including Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and Mehsana.

As per the Institute of Seismological



Research, Gandhinagar, the epicentre of the earthquake lay 13 kilometres south-southwest of Patan in Gujarat's Banaskantha district.

No report of casualties, injuries or damage to any property has been received so far.
