Residents of Delhi-NCR felt strong earthquake on Wednesday evening. People in National Capital Region felt the tremors around 8:50 pm.
Initial reports suggested that the epicentre of the earthquake was in Uttarakhand.
Media reports said that the
tremors were felt in many parts of North India, including Chandigarh and Dehradun.
According to EMSC, the epicentre was 127 kilometres east of Uttarakhand, capital Dehradun. The intensity of the earthquake was measured 5.0 at the Richter scale.
