Earthquake of magnitude 5.2 jolts Assam

An earthquake of magnitude 5.2 on the Richter scale struck Kokrajhar in Assam on Saturday morning.

There have been no reports of any damage or casualty.

The earthquake

originated in Gauripur and was about 10 kilometres deep.

Its epicentre is located at latitude 26.193 degrees north and longitude 89.931 degrees east.
