The Election Commission has allotted broadcast and telecast time to National Parties for the forthcoming Gujarat Assembly polls. In its order, the Commission said, a base time of 45 minutes will be given to each National Party. It said, the facilities will be available from the Regional Kendras of All India Radio and Doordarshan and in the headquarters of Gujarat and relayed by other stations within the state. 

The poll panel said, there are no Recognized State Parties in Gujarat.
The period of broadcast and telecast will be between the last



date of filing the nominations for the first phase of poll and two days before the date of poll in each phase in the state.

The Prasar Bharati Corporation, in consultation with the Commission, will decide the actual date and time for broadcast and telecast.

The 182-member Gujarat Assembly will go to polls in two phases on 9th December and 14th December.The counting will be held on 18th December along with Himachal Pradesh, which goes to polls on the 9th of next month. Himachal Pradesh has a 68-member Assembly.
