EC allots party symbol to Sanyukt Samaj Morcha

New Delhi: Election Commission has allotted "Cot" party symbol to the Sanyukt Samaj Morcha led by farmer leader Balbir Singh Rajewal days after getting recognition. On the last day of filing nominations, the Election Commission had denied the recognition to the party. However, it was given recognition on



February 2.

 

The SSM was founded by different farmers' organizations of the state and it is contesting on 104 Assembly seats. Sanyukt Samaj Morcha has made farmer leader Balbir Singh Rajewal its chief ministerial face.
