EC gives time to Rahul Gandhi till May 7 to submit reply in connection with alleged violation of MCC

The Election commission has given time to Congress President Rahul Gandhi till 7th of May to submit his reply in connection with the alleged violation of Model code of conduct by his statement made during election meeting at Shahdol, Madhya



Pradesh. 

Earlier, the commission had issued a notice to Mr Gandhi on first of this month and he was given 48 hours to file his reply. The Poll body today said, a request was received by Mr Gandhi seeking extension till 7th May for filing reply.
