EC issues notices to three media houses

The Election Commission (EC) has issued notices to three media houses for displaying poll surveys predicting results of general elections.

It has sought explanation from IANS India Private Limited, Economic

Times and Swaraj Mass Media as to why action should not be taken against them for violation of provision of Representation of the People Act.

They have been asked to respond by tomorrow.
