New Delhi: The Election Commission has relieved Deputy Commissioner of Police (South-East) in Delhi, Chinmoy Biswal from his present post with immediate effect. He has been asked to report to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

In view of the ongoing situation, the Commission has directed Mr Kumar Gyanesh, Senior most Additional DCP (South-East) to



take charge of the DCP (South-East) immediately from Mr Biswal.

The  Election Commission has also asked the Ministry of Home Affairs and Commissioner of Police, Delhi to immediately send a panel of three names to the Commission for posting a Suitable Officer as regular DCP (South-East).
