EC team to review poll preparedness in Chhattisgarh today

A team of Election Commission of India headed by Chief Election Commissioner OP Rawat will review poll preparedness for Chhattisgarh Assembly Elections in Raipur today. According to programme schedule released by Election Commission, Mr Rawat will hold the meeting with political parties this morning. Subsequently, he will review election preparations by holding the meeting of District Returning Officers, SPs, IGs and



DIGs.

The CEC will also hold the meeting of nodal officers of state police and coordinators of central para-military forces to ensure peaceful polling during the first phase of elections on 12 November. After holding the press conference, Mr Rawat will return to Delhi. Polling in Chhattisgarh will be held in two phases, on 12th and 20th of this month.
