Election Commission of India will visit Haryana on August 12 and 13. They will review the preparations for the upcoming assembly elections.
Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Pankaj Agarwal said that engineers from Bharat Electronics Limited are conducting the first-level checking of EVMs in all 22 districts of the state. All district election officers must ensure that representatives of recognised political parties in the state are present during the checking.
He directed all district election officers to direct BLOs and registration
officers to ensure no forms were pending with them. For any assistance, suggestions, or complaints, one can contact the district election or registration officer or call the Chief Election Officer’s toll-free number 1950.
The Chief Electoral Officer also stated that 817 new polling booths have been set up for this year’s assembly elections, bringing the total number of polling booths in the state to 20,629. He urged district election officers to personally inspect the polling booths as well.
