New Delhi: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar yesterday said that the soft power of Indian diplomacy has enhanced and it became the real factor of stability in the world.
Addressing the inaugural session of Chanakya Defence Dialogue organised by the Indian Army in New Delhi Vice President Dhankhar said the economy and military power of India will play a crucial role for peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region. Mr Dhankhar said that collaborative security and innovative partnerships seem to be the way forward for peace and stability.
Talking about the Chanakya Defence Dialogue, he said that this inaugural flagship event conceived by the Indian Army is a productive platform where defence, strategy, and collaborative partnership will converge to forge a secure, stable, and prosperous future in the vibrant landscape of South Asia and the Indo-Pacific.

Pande for orchestrating this event, Mr Dhankhar said that this platform is eminently suited to meticulously analyse the complexities of security challenges in South Asia and the Indo-Pacific. He added that it defines a way forward stance for collective security within the region.
Making an initial remark, Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Pande said India has become a credible voice at the world stage and articulates the concerns of the global south at various forums. The Army Chief also highlighted the emerging challenges in the Indo-Pacific region and said there is a need for collaborative efforts to resolve such complex issues.
The event, ‘Chanakya Defence Dialogue 2023’, this first of its kind being organised by the Indian Army will carry out a comprehensive analysis of security challenges in South Asia and the Indo-Pacific in the next two days.
