Mumbai: The Environment and Climate Sustainability Working Group (ECSWG) meeting under India's G20 Presidency is underway in Mumbai. The meeting is a critical step in fostering the efforts of the G20 countries, invitee countries, and international organizations towards a sustainable and resilient future.
The ECSWG under India’s G20 Presidency aims to enhance cooperation among the G20 nations to develop state of the art solutions for sustainable management of oceans and marine biodiversity conservation.

Raj Kapil Patil is going to deliver his inaugural address at the ECSWG meeting today.
Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Leena Nandan who is also the Chair for the ECSWG will address the delegates in the morning.
The main focus today will be on steering the discussions around Communique with a more outcome-driven approach.
The ECSWG meeting began yesterday with a mega beach clean-up campaign followed by Ocean 20 dialogue.
