ED arrests accused Prem Prakash in money laundering case

Enforcement Directorate has arrested Jharkhand mining scam accused Prem Prakash in money laundering case. ED had yesterday raided his home and office in Ranchi and recovered two AK-47 rifles and 60 live cartridges. Raids were also conducted on the premises of Prem Prakash's relatives in Jharkhand, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, and Delhi-NCR.

Meanwhile, Jharkhand government has objected to news reports linking Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s name to Prem Prakash. In



a press statement, the state government warned media houses of legal action if Mr. Soren's name is linked to Prem Prakash.

Ranchi Police has claimed that two AK series weapons recovered during the ED raid were allotted to two Jharkhand Police personnel, who had kept them at the residence of Prem Prakash. Both police personnel have been suspended with immediate effect,  Ranchi police claimed.
