Enforcement Directorate has attached immovable and movable properties worth seven crore 30 lakh rupees of accused Brajesh Thakur and his family members in Muzaffarpur Balika Grih Case. 

The properties consist of 26 plots of land, three Vehicles, balance in 37 bank accounts and investments in Mutual funds. 

The ED had initiated the investigation under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act in this case on the basis of the charge sheet



filed by the CBI. 

The charge sheet revealed that the Girls Children Shelter Home in Muzaffarpur run by ‘Sewa Sankalp Evam Vikas Samiti’ was found to be running in a highly questionable manner and several girls reported about violence and sexual abuse. 

There are also allegations of rape and sexual assault against the accused Brajesh Thakur who was the controller of the Shelter Home.
