ED claims Mahadev betting App promoters paid Rs 508 cr to Chattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel

Enforcement Directorate, ED has claimed that Mahadev betting App promoters have given 508 crore rupees to Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.

The agency is probing a money laundering case against Mahadev Book Online Betting APP. During its searches yesterday it had intercepted 5.39 crore rupees in cash in the poll-bound state. The ED said that it had received intelligence input that a large amount of cash is being moved in Chhattisgarh by the promoters of Mahadev App in connection with the upcoming assembly elections. 

The enforcement agency also claimed that



during the searches it had intercepted a cash courier namely Asim Das who was sent from UAE, especially to deliver a large amount of cash allegedly for electioneering expenses of the Congress.

The ED also said that it has discovered some benami Bank Accounts of Mahadev APP in which has been frozen. The agency said, it has emerged from the questioning of Asim Das and the forensic examination of the phone recovered from him and the examination of an email that regular payments were made in the past to the Chief Minister by the promoters of Mahadev APP.
