ED conducts searches at two premises of Delhi based Hawala Dealer

Enforcement Directorate (ED) has conducted searches at two premises of Delhi based Hawala Dealer and seized Indian currency and Foreign currency worth 38 Lakh rupees and incriminating documents under Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 (FEMA).

An information from a reliable source was received wherein it was suspected that one Daulat Ram



Soni of Delhi, is involved in Hawala activities. 

On verification of the above information, it was observed that Daulat Ram Soni was in regular touch with various persons based in India and abroad and was facilitating unauthorized transfer of money to and from locations outside India on commission basis. Further investigation is under process.
