In Bihar, interrogation of RJD Chief Lalu Prasad by Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with land for job scam has concluded last evening. The questioning continued for around 10 hours by sleuths of the Central Agency at its Patna based regional office.
Earlier, Mr. Prasad along with his daughter reached ED office around 11 am and appeared before the Central Agency which is investigating the case of money laundering on the basis of charge sheet filed by CBI in connection
with land for job case. A team of ED comprising officers from Delhi and Patna questioned Lalu Prasad to collect inputs related to the scam from the RJD leader. It is the first time that the Central Agency has summoned Mr. Prasad to appear in this case in Patna.
The scam is related to the period of 2004 to 2009 when Lalu Prasad was Railway minister in the UPA government. Lalu Prasad and his family members are accused in this case.
